If  you are trying to start earning some money online, these are some great places to start.
You can get a domain name at Go Daddy and they also will help you create and build a website for you. They will also host the site for you. Which I recommend always getting a host for your site, even if you go through a different service. If your site takes to long to load, sometimes it will get rejected from search engines.
If you don't want a website, you can also just get a domain name. These look much more professional when trying to promote your site. You can redirect a domain to go to your blog or even a different site. That way you dont have to promote a long url, but simply like mine..
www.castlemoms.com instead of  http://castlemoms.blogspot.com/
You can simply redirect the domain to link to your blog or any website you choose.

 PROJECT PAYDAY
 Another great way to start earning some extra income is project payday.
